Earning credits against BallotBox fees by referring new customers

Most of our new subscriptions come from referrals made by our valued customers, and we like to show our gratitude.  

If a new customer tells us when they sign up that you referred them, both you and the new customer will receive a credit toward future renewal or upgrade fees.  Right now, the referral credit equals 10% of the price of the new customer's initial subscription, split evenly between the referring customer and the referred customer.  (Our referral program is subject to change at any time, but if we do change it, we will update this article.)

This article explains how the referral process works.

When new customers sign up for BallotBoxOnline accounts, they are asked to identify any of our existing customers that referred them.

The image above is what the new customer will see.  For you to receive a referral bonus, the new customer needs to put your exact BallotBox customer home page address where xxxxxxxxx appears.  

If you are not sure what your BallotBox customer home page address is, log into your Admin account.  In your browser's address bar, look for the text that appears between https:// and .ballotboxonline.com.  For example, in the image below, the customer's BallotBox customer home page is example:

You can also see it by logging into your Admin account, clicking on your name in the upper right corner, and selecting BallotBox Settings.  

When you make a referral, you should tell the potential new BallotBox customer what to type in the "Referred by" box. Both you and they will get a referral bonus, if they do.

Finally, you will receive an email from our system any time you receive a referral credit, and if you want to see the history of credits your account has received, and whether you have a current credit available for your next renewal or upgrade, please follow these steps:

  • log into your Admin account
  • click on your name in the top right corner
  • select BallotBox Setttings, and
  • click the Credits tab.
