If the Officers for a poll do not approve the poll by the time it is set to launch, BallotBox will send the Admin for that poll an email setting forth the following options:
- The Admin can email the Officers who have not approved the poll yet, reminding them.
- If at least a quorum of the Officers have at least set passwords, the Admin can “manually launch” the poll even though the Officers have not approved it.
- The Admin can cancel the poll.
If, however, the Officers have not even set their Officer passwords, the poll cannot be launched. BallotBox encrypts each ballot that is cast by encrypting it, and the Officers passwords are essential to that mechanism.
