What information can I see about a Poll in which I’m an Officer?

Assuming you set a password for your Officer account for the poll, you can see different information depending on when in the process you are looking.

When the poll is deployed for review, you will be asked to review and approve the ballot, or to give feedback on it first, and later approve it.  You will be guided to this page by a link in an email that BallotBox will send you automatically.

Later, you can return to the poll by going to your organization’s BallotBox account home page (https://your-organization.ballotboxonline.com), clicking on that poll, and selecting Officer Login.  You will enter your email address and Officer password.

If the poll is current Active (meaning its voting period has started, and not yet ended), you will be able to see information about voter participation in the poll, when the voting period will end, and who the other Officers are.  You will not be able to see partial results of the poll.  The cast ballots are encrypted in our database; no one, not even BallotBox staff, can see partial results.

Once the poll’s voting period ends, the poll will be moved to the section of the account home page called Closed Polls.  It will be listed there unless and until our customer chooses to Archive it.  Archived polls can continue to be visible to our customer’s Admins, but are no longer listed on the account home page.)

If you click on a Closed Poll, and then click on Officer Login, with your Officer credentials you will be able to view the ballot, view information about voter participation, and view the poll’s  results.

Note:  If you are an Officer in more than one poll, even for the same organization, your credentials may be different.  If you choose to set one Officer password for one poll, and another Officer password for another poll, you will need to remember which Officer password was entered for which poll.  BallotBox treats each of your Officer accounts as independent – one per poll.

Note:  Our customer can choose not to list a poll on its account home page.   If our customer chooses that, then when you visit the customer’s BallotBox account home page, the poll in which you are an Officer would not be listed.   In that case, the only way for you to get to an Officer Login link is to use one of the emails that BallotBox sends you, as an Officer in that poll.  You can always ask the individuals who have Admin accounts for that organization to go to the Officers tab of that poll, and click the button there that will send you a new email with a link to that poll.
